Ryan posted on Instagram requesting information about people who had edited his Wikipedia page and added negative things about him. He eventually added a cash bounty, and based on a later post it seems that somebody won, and according to a post on reddit, the information they provided was all fictional. Still, Wikipedia conducted an internal investigation to see if any information had been accessed about the editors, and they concluded it hadn't.

Ethan released "I love Throast" merch, and encouraged the meme, possibly to make the attempts to find information about the wikipedia editors harder to find.
